International Tiger Day 2022: Honouring the Roar 🐯

Every year on 29th July, International Tiger Day or Global Tiger Day is observed to promote awareness about tiger conservation. The day was established in 2010 during the Saint Petersburg Tiger Summit in Russia. Of all the beasts whose habitat is the forest, the tiger is one of the most majestic creatures in the world. It is, in fact, India’s pride as it is our national animal and stands for the country’s power, grace, force, and grandeur.

Teachers at DSGS, explained the purpose of this day to the students through knowledge-sharing and fun activities. Students were made aware of this years’ theme – “India Launches Project Tiger to Revive the Population’.’

Since the turn of the century, the wild tiger population has decreased by more than 95%. Students pondered about the causes and spoke out how every citizen can contribute even in the smallest of ways. DSGS believes that it is important to maintain a strong global system for protecting the natural habitats of tigers and support tiger conservation issues.

DSGS is fast emerging as one of the best CBSE schools in Hyderabad. We are proud of educating our students on significant events and encouraging them to keep up with current affairs, global realities, and significant issues.
